Meet the team

Laura

The Retreat has been with me since 2004. I qualified as a beauty therapist in 1998, during my journey my focus has always been how we can feel better about ourselves! Self love in my eyes is beauty! I wear many hats at The Retreat, I mostly enjoy the client time and making sure your inner confidence shines through. I have a clear vision with an honest approach making sure you get the best out of your treatment.

Hannah

I have been a Beauty Therapist since 2003, working at other reputable salons in the area. Where I feel I have settled at The Retreat and I continue to look forward to meeting all the clients that come here, both new and existing. Facials are one of my favourite treatments, both to do and to have! I enjoy these because of the benefits it has to our skin to maintain a healthy complexion and to our overall wellbeing.

Charlotte

I have been working as a beauty therapist since 2008 and have been with The Retreat since 2011. I am the senior therapist and take a spa like feel to my treatments. I enjoy doing facials and Peels, using the amazing Image products. I also enjoy treatments such as lashes, which give that instant feel-good factor.

Eleena

Hi, my name is Eleena and I am one of the newest members of The Retreat. I qualified in Level 2 and 3 in beauty therapy and Level 3 Spa therapy finishing my training in 2024. You will currently find me on reception, where I am welcoming all our lovely clients, whilst I am building my confidence and refreshing my skills. I am really looking forward to starting treatments and helping our clients feel confident in themselves.

Ruby

I am the newest member of the Retreat team having qualified in my Level 3 beauty back in June 2024. I have worked here since May 2023 learning all aspects of the salon starting on reception, building up my skills and I am now enjoying doing all beauty treatments. I love being a therapist as I know I am helping people feel good about themselves.

Karen

I have continually worked as a receptionist in the Beauty industry since 1995 and have been with The Retreat since it opened in 2004. As the manager my role is varied and keeps me on my toes. I pride myself in making sure clients feel welcome and relaxed in what sometimes can be an unknown environment, especially for those who are new and may have preconceived ideas of the beauty salon environment.

Holly

I have been a beauty therapist since 2014. I have gained knowledge and experience in other local salons and joined The Retreat team in 2020. I really enjoy making our clients feel good on the outside as well as inside I have continuously gone that extra mile and given extra attention. I am highly skilled at intimate hot waxing and discovering my love for massage.

Ruby

I am currently at university studying Forensic Science, and alongside my degree, I manage the front desk as a part-time receptionist. I believe I have a very peaceful demeaner which pairs nicely with the relaxing aura of the salon and I enjoy keeping everything organised to ensure you have the best experience possible here at The Retreat. As the receptionist, I strive to make everyone feel welcomed and at ease from the moment they walk through the door and I look forward to the little chitchats I have with the clients, so please don’t be afraid to strike up a conversation!
